Core safety warning
Do not pay rent, deposit, agency fee, inspection fee, holding fee, or purchase money before viewing the property and completing your own checks.
For tenants and buyers
- Check the listing details carefully before booking a viewing.
- Do not send money to anyone just because a listing appears online.
- Use the report button if a listing seems fake, unavailable, misleading, or unsafe.
- Tell someone where you are going when attending a viewing.
- Avoid late-night or unsafe viewing arrangements.
For landlords and property representatives
- Only list properties you own, manage, or have authority to advertise.
- Use accurate photos, prices, location details, and availability.
- Do not ask users for suspicious payments or misleading fees.
- Respond to viewing requests honestly and promptly.
- A paid request for a viewing slot you published may be accepted automatically because the slot represents your confirmed availability.
- If you cancel an accepted viewing slot you offered, D'Tinto may charge a ₦2,000 Viewing Disruption Fee for the additional coordination work. This is a platform fee and is not compensation paid to the tenant.
- Update listing availability once a property is rented, sold, paused, or unavailable.
